Punjab Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday said good management is very vital for making any development project run smoothly as it ensures taking care of all aspects.
Holding a meeting here with State Council of Mayors, Badal reviewed and took feedback regarding Rs 4,000 crore Urban Development Mission being implemented in the urban areas. He said that no dearth of funds would be allowed come in way of successful execution of development projects in the state.
He instructed the Mayors to ensure timely and qualitative completion of all the water supply and sewerage projects besides installation of LED street lights. Badal also asked the Mayors to give priority for construction of main roads and opt for LED street lights to save power.
Special Principal Secretaries to Deputy CM, Rahul Tewari and Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Mayor Sunil Jyoti (Jalandhar), Bakshi Ram Arora (Amritsar), Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria (Ludhiana), Amarinder Bajaj (Patiala), Anil Vasudev (Pathankot), Akshit Jain (Moga), Kulwant Singh (Mohali), Balwant Rai (Bathinda), Arun Khosla (Phagwara) and Shiv Sood (Hoshiarpur) were also present.
